What division do I register my player?

Divisions are based on a player's age on August 31, 2018.

  • Ages 7-9 Division
This is a COED training League for 7, 8 and 9 year-olds interested in building basic volleyball skills. Games and practices will be with Volley-Lite volleyballs and players will be required to serve from the 10-foot line.  All games will be played on Saturdays.
  • Ages 10 - 12 Division
This is a COED league designed for 10, 11 and 12 year-olds.  Games and practices will be played with Volley-Lite volleyballs and players will serve from the baseline. The season will be a round-robin format with a single elimination tournament at the end of the regular season. All games will be played on Saturdays.  End of season tournament will occur on weeknights at the end of the season.
  • Ages 13 - 15 Division
This is a COED league designed for 13, 14 and 15 year old who desire intense and competitive training. Games and practices will be played with regulation volleyballs and will be required to serve from behind the baseline.  The season will be a round robin format with a tournament at the end of the regular season. All games will be played on Saturdays.  End of season tournament will occur on weeknights at the end of the season.
  • Ages 16+
There is no division, however, if there is enough interest, Williamson County Parks & Rec will put together weekly practices/games/etc.  For more information, contact Adrian Ludwig at AdrianL@williamson-tn.org.

If you coach, you can take your player up to any level you want.  We have had 9 year-olds play Advanced because a parent coached.

How long are Practices/Games?

All practices will be at two Spring Hill elementary school gyms.  You will be assigned a gym after registration has closed.

Practices will start about 1 month prior to games (approximately March 1 in Spring, August 1 in Fall), and will continue once per week throughout the entire season.

Games are 1 hour on Saturdays, where they will play 3 matches.  There will be 5 - 7 Saturday games during the season.  Games are not scheduled on Fall/Spring Break, Easter Weekend, or Labor Day Weekend.  End of season tournament will occur on weeknights at the end of the season.

  • Ages 7-9 Division
Practice - 1 hour, always start at 6:15 pm
  • Ages 10 - 12 Division
Practice - 1 hour, 15 minutes, most start at 7:15 pm and run to 8:30.  Some will start at 7:30 and run to 8:45 pm.  We are limited in practice facilities, and I realize 8:45 pm is late on a school night for some 10 - 12 year olds.  Our hands are tied - please be aware going into the season that this is a possibility.
There is an end of season tournament that will include possible weeknight games.
  • Ages 13 - 15 Division
Practice - 1 hour, 30 minutes,  will start at 7:30 pm.
There is an end of season tournament that will include possible weeknight games.

May I request a coach for my child's team?

  • Ages 7-9 Division - YES.  Some coaches get more requests than there are slots on the team.  I can only guarantee returning players a slot, then move onto other requests.  If the team is already full, we will move them to another team.
  • Ages 10 - 12 Division - YES. Some coaches get more requests than there are slots on the team.  I can only guarantee returning players a slot, then move onto other requests.  If the team is already full, we will move them to another team.
  • Ages 13 - 15 Division - NO.  There is an assessment and a draft.

Can my children play on same team or practice on the same night?

Please make a note in remarks while registering if you have any siblings in the league.  We will do what we can to get siblings on the same team, or on the same night.  We can not guarantee that it will occur, but we will do our best.

May I coach?

YES!  But you HAVE TO REGISTER...

The Spring 2018 season had another record turnout!  We are always looking for new coaches to keep the teams at a manageable size.  If you are interested, please contact us and let us know.  Never coached before?  We are available to help you!

If you are interested in coaching, or just want to learn more, please contact Brian Brooks or Jennifer Pinckard.
